The immortals of this village are _clearly_ 1970s hippies! They even use macramé! In brown + orange - that cursed colour combination that _should have died_ somewhere around...
*cough!*
I mean, everyone have different tastes, and macramé is having a revival, and all that... Also, since they _are_ immortals they kind of have a licence to put their craft on life support.
Burning Flames, ep 9, post 20 min; snakes (not in pic, though)
TIL the term Dutch Angle - it's when you shoot a shot tilting the camera/picture, making the horisontal line askew. I have a hard time _not_ going "Dutch Angle! Dutch Angle! Dutch Angle!" like a toddler with a new word, because Burning Flames is full of them. The composition is good when a situation gets out of controll, because it's a clear illustration of instability. Here it also means both characters are visible - foreshortening FTW!
I just realised that, since I walk with a cane, immortal Gui Mu is one of the few characters I can cosplay with minor tweaks (yes, I consider gender bending a minor tweak). If I picked say Spiderman or Storm I'd add a detail to tell a story - say a plaster cast. As for Gui Mu I'd only need to make the costume and abuse my hair. I'm weirdly tempted...
Of course C-drama land has the levelled up version of the Darth Vader choke-hold!
