I'd been asked to add a set of legacy themes for #xfwm4 to my #crux #xfce repository. I do have a list of things to potentially add to the repo, but this from the 4.10 gtk2 days was not on that list. The source link that was shared with me was from the #slackware 14.1 source tree. 🤔

Still, I did find the actual source, and it's even found in the AUR as well, so I'm sure it's a worthy addition, even if it's been abandoned upstream, it shouldn't be much to "maintain" in the future.

I'd like to point out that this article is inaccurate as far as official #Xfce development goes.

The merge mentioned in this article is for an unsupported fork of #xfwm4

At this point, there are no plans to take these commits and merge them into the xfwm4 repository at https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4

As far as I can tell, this was kinda sorta retracted/corrected in the comments.

If you'd like to have this gorgeous desktop theme I've created and maintained for some time called #CyberHack, you're lucky! You can download it here: https://www.pling.com/p/1620049/
I'll put some hastags to describe it: It is #dark #futuristic #cyberpunk #hacker #cyan #green somewhat #matrix -like.
It includes themes for #gtk2, #gtk3, #gtk4, #Kvantum, (Plasma, qt5ct and qt6ct) #ColorScheme, #xfwm4, #metacity, #openbox, #cinnamon, #emerald, #qtcurve, #klassy preset, #Gradience preset. That is, you can tune almost any desktop!

CyberHack is a GTK2, GTK3, xfwm4, metacity/marco (for Mate), Cinnamon, Emerald, qtCurve, Kvantum, Plasma Color Scheme and qt5ct color scheme for GNU/Linux desktops. It's hacker-looking,...

In preparation for some other #documentation that I am currently working on, I "accidentally" managed to build a page of #Xfce keyboard shortcuts for the #xfwm4 window manager and some default application shortcuts.

Perhaps it will be useful.

@Anarcat The #wayland protocol devs should step up and thank #sway developers, who did not need to do the extra work to create wlroots wayland library, which has largely saved the entire wayland ecosystem and allowed it to have a chance. @xfce for example in 4.19 I believe is using wlroots in #xfwm4 if I'm not mistaken. But it still leaves 6 primary compositor libraries to deal with, plus any number of minor ones.

I honestly don't know where we'd be if it were not for the work of #sway
