seriously though.
where does Mutter/ Budgie come from? it seems to be independent of the KDE/ Gnome universes.
I dunno. I feel like I see components from this or that, in that or this and it's keeping track. But does it matter.

I do know it matters when I'm messing around w/ the old #HDMI out on the #Funai #Magnavox thing from nineteen eighty 'fore.

5️⃣ Up top!

Since you already mentioned that page....
Maybe check out https://www.xfce-look.org/u/bunnymnemonic
On that persons page are two recently updated #xfwm themes that resembles some oldschool while not looking like Win95/98 imho. Personally haven't tried them though.

Pictured: Amiga OS 3.x (HiDPI) theme for XFWM4 window manager as seen on the Badwolf web browser open to the GitHub project page for the Amiga themes.

I recently acquired a new primary monitor after my second monitor broke. After re-doing my desk, I was inspired to make my computer more aesthetic. I run Manjaro with XFCE, so one of the first things I looked to change was the theme for XFWM4. I came across four Amiga OS-inspired themes. Now I never used Amiga and have no special interest in it, but the creator of the themes stated that he used one of his own themes on his work computer. There was no harm in trying, so I installed the themes from the AUR and gave them a spin. I ended up liking the HiDPI version of the Amiga OS 3.x theme - seen in the picture - enough to select it as my XFWM4 theme. It fits in surprisingly well with an otherwise modern desktop. Since I ended up using the theme, I decided to write a full article about the themes and my experiences. In the article, you will find screenshots of the other three Amiga OS themes as well.

It's just a rough draft in the moment but at least the packages are working. Enjoy!
