A little update on the #Plex (and Jelly) transcoding for the #synology #x25 models, DS425+ and DS225+.
A new version of the i915.ko version has been published (the #BeestationPlus one) that now supports #HDR tone mapping correctly.
Article has been updated and it is referring to this as a "v2" solution. v1 solution is still posted as a fail safe until some github scripts have been updated to the new solution.

/* This is ALPHA test software. This code may break your machine, randomly fail to work with new releases, misbehave and/or generally screw up. It might even work. */

If I could turn back time, I’d come up with a slogan so bad that X.25 would have certainly won the Protocol Wars:
I PEE
YOU PEE
WE ALL PEE
FOR I.P.

@wyatt does that card do #TokenRing and #X25 too?
Everyone and their mom [has a](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsS0E4G310Y) #Wifi232 to get their #VintageComputer online, but I wounder if there's a #wired (#LAN) option instead. - Basically being an *"#Ethernet #Modem"*... Background: In my area, 2,4 GHz WiFi is so overcrowded that it's basically unuseable and also because Ethernet is more reliable. - Ideally it can be powered via #PoE to enable #WakeOnLAN / #WakeOnDialin.... I don't mind if it looks like a [MAU](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium_Attachment_Unit) but with like a unmanaged 4-port Gigiabit Switch for #10Base2 / #10Base5 - lookalike "passthrough" and internal 10 MBit/s port so it can be used to directly link units or be hooked up to a switch. Similar to [FriendlyNet](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Attachment_Unit_Interface#FriendlyNet) - Bonus points if it still supports 10MBit/s @ [Cat.3](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_3_cable)/ [single pair](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethernet_over_twisted_pair#Single-pair) and [100BaseVG](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100BaseVG), but regular Fast Ethernet & #Gigabit Ethernet via [Cat.5 and up](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethernet_over_twisted_pair) is more important. (Maybe do like 2x #SFP [ports](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_Form-factor_Pluggable) at the sides and 1x 8p8c #RJ45 at the front ?) So technically it's closer to a `DEC DELNI` than real [AUI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attachment_Unit_Interface) but if someone wants to implement an #AUI and even add a an [AAUI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Attachment_Unit_Interface) adaptor cable I'm not gonna tell anyone not to. #LAN232 #Ethernet232 #FriendlyNet #VontageComputing #embedded #Networking
