If you have an iOS device and need to remotely administer other machines, I _highly_ suggest Screens.

I've used it for years for all sorts of systems. Even easy to configure to control #OpenBSD via #x11vnc via an #ssh tunnel.

Wenn man die Starts von Xvfb und #x11vnc separiert, wird die Lage DEUTLICH übersichtlicher, man gewinnt Abstand zu Automatismen und durch die Ebenen gereichten Optionen, und es entfällt der Workaround, einmalig x11vnc durchzutreten, damit der Displayserver gestartet wird.

Hab verschlafen, SO lange hab ich am Abend auf #x11vnc rumgekloppt, um headless #OBS hinzubekommen, und sogar jetzt ist noch ein Workaround im Game, wenn ich die in der Session laufende Applikation rebootfest bekommen will. Was für ein MOLOCH! Allein die zweite Beschreibung der Option -display in ihrer Invocation als -display WAIT:... 🤪 https://manpages.debian.org/bookworm/x11vnc/x11vnc.1.en.html
