Warzone 2100 Web Edition

20 years ago today, on June 11, 2005, version 0.1 of the open source “Warzone 2100 Project” was released, thanks to a dedicated team of fans and volunteers. Many years of work, and a lot of contributions, have now culminated in another big moment: Warzone 2100 Web Edition is now available: https://play.wz2100.net Play Warzone 2100 on pretty much any device with a modern web browser (which supports modern WebAssembly and WebGL 2) and a big enough screen.

Se ha publicado la segunda beta de Warzone 2100 4.6.0, versión que traerá una gran lista de cambios:

* Se han renovado y reorganizado los menús del juego
* Nuevas texturas para el agua
* Al arrancar por primera vez, prueba diferentes backends gráficos, siendo Vulkan el prioritario
* Actualizada la campaña Fracture Kingdom a la 1.4
* Muchas correcciones y añadidos

Warzone 2100
Really amazing game.
Despite the fact that it's free and open source yet enjoying and super fun.
Quality is amazing. Music is epic and engaging.

@myself my favourites are: #Warzone2100 / #wz2100, #0ad and #7kaa. #OpenTTD is also nice. For Warzone and 7kaa I find their history very interesting, they were commercial, closed-source games originally.

And #OpenRA, if that counts. At least its engine is #OpenSource. And it uses the original, non-free textures and sound files from #Dune and #CommandAndConquer #CnC.

And wow, #Mindustry looks great, didn't know about it until now and will definitely need to try it :-).
