Well, it wasn't sport ALL day; Jeremy decided to "try" an E1 trad route in my absolute favourite style (/sarc). Time to see if my occasional and minimal practice has supplied me with ANY jamming skills at all... For those who don't speak UK trad, 5c English Technical is maybe 6a sport - assuming you can jam! This felt ooooo 6c at least 😂

Nice little trip yesterday with Jeremy to Wyndcliffe Quarry to see if I can get my sport mojo back after not having sport climbed outdoors for 6 months. Turns out, yeah, not bad... Including a little fall practice, which did indeed help. This comfy-at-the-grade number was really fun.

A few shots from the rather fun Tricam workshop day with Rise and Summit at Wintours Leap on Saturday. Leads on Swallow's Nest (VS 4c) and African Killer Bee (VS 4c) including placing some of said (rather versatile as it turns out) pointy devices. Not shown; the faceful of hail I took 3/4 of the way up Swallow's Next - mostly, I suspect, because Kev was rather more concerned for my safety on the suddenly very slimy and rather exciting upper section than taking pics 🤣 Thanks for that, Kev! Also nice to have climbing pics that don't feature my backside!

Well, I kinda assumed Plump Hill was soft, what with it being very slabby and all, but Shorn Cliff is definitely "proper" trad routes, so either the grades are soft there too, or I'm getting better; this VS 4b actually felt not too bad, and I'm even placing slightly less gear (probably still too much, though....)

So, having finished with the Kalymnos videos, back in the UK I managed to get a bit of trad action in. This was from the rather nice Shorn Cliff Great Central Cave area. Bit of a trek in, but fantastic rock!
