Men's Six Nations may be over but there's still rugby to look forward to. This weekend both semi finals of the Celtic Challenge take place in Galway at the Sportsground (Dexcom) Stadium. First up at 12.00 Saturday will be Clovers (combined Munster and Connacht team) - then 15.00 Wolfhounds (combined Leinster and Ulster team) play. Both of us against Welsh opposition. If both win could be an all Irish final. Great warm up for the #W6N

Had to watch #ENGvIRE late as we went to the brilliant #CLOvEDI women's game first. Liking the revamped Clan Stand in the Sportground (fine, fine, the Dexxcom). Clovers could hardly put a foot wrong. Missing Catriona Finn but Buttimer off the bench in flying form.

Excellent start to the #CelticChallenge - #CLOvGWA was a cracking game. You can catch back up on TG4 sport. #WomensRugby continues to be a delight to attend - very pleasant chats with the fellow attendees which is mostly friends and family since there has been basically no promotion.

#WOLvEDI next - torn between cheering on the other Irish team or cheering against the half Leinster team 😋 .

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has a lovely weekend coming up - we're plotting and planning for our last women's rugby adventure of this world cup - if all goes well we'll see bronze final (New Zealand v France, 12.30) and final (Canada v England 16.00) in Twickenham tomorrow 🤞❤️

Excellent day out at Bristol's Ashton Gate for #FRAvENG #RWC2025 semi final. Hadn't been there before. Decent low traffic walk in and out of Bristol city centre along the water. Great match. More than half the stadium stayed at the end clapping their Red Roses. Wore my Ireland shirt and got some good banter out of it. Also met someone we'd befriended at IREvENG 2 years ago in Cork. Had the good fortune to meet the 1991 rwc winning USA women's captain.

Ireland have got to start well, get ahead and stay ahead. France are tough cookies. They've got experience, longer as pros, more world cup matches, fitness, quality players a lot for us to overcome. Can't give them an inch. Want us to stay in this #RWC25, break the quarter final curse and get to the semis.

A #GreenWave needs to sweep Exeter. Cmon Ireland!

Quarter final weekend for #RWC2025 - this is the only weekend since the opening weekend that I'm not heading to any matches live. Have plenty of supplies in and am looking forward to 2 matches today and 2 tomorrow. The weather is helping with my couch potato plans - every time the sun shines and I feel like I should get outside within 10 minutes the heavens open and the wind picks up. So yes - #NZLvRSA has started, have #CANvAUS later today.

Well feic, that scoreline does not reflect the effort... Black Ferns defence was immense! Almost precog the way they read passes. Great periods of pressure from Ireland (10 mins each half) but we never capitalised. Still wonderful day, bumped into someone who played rugby with my uncle, met some fans we chatted to yesterday. As still to play for as Ireland have QF next week. Lovely day out - get thee to women's rugby!

Have been using IREvNZL when it should have been #NZLvIRE for this #RWC25 match. Either way - great fun in Brighton stadium. Need to keep discipline, and hopefully McGillivray will be a fresh injection of pace.

Excited for the last pool matches of #RWC25 - going to #Brighton to see #ENGvAUS and #IREvNZL. The #BlackFerns will be our toughest opposition. Had an excellent time in Northampton with great atmosphere so high expectations from Brighton. It has been more of a hub for #WomensRugby for longer. Any top tips on where to eat/drink and what to see welcome - given myself the Monday off work to tourist it up before leaving.
