I had a deeply haunting and humbling dream last night.

In the dream, I was leaving an after-hours house party – a sub-nod to my past days as an eager night owl – at 4am with a group of friends dubbed the "experience scientists."

As we crossed through a public park, an attractive stranger approached me and, purposely rejected me but in doing so, offered the most blunt advice and valid criticisms of my character.

Then I woke up at 4am.
