Today is world meteorological day #worldmetday 🌦️
DYK that the Icelandic Met Office has an API for weather observations. I´ve been having lots of fun building weather info screens for my new @trmnl
a brilliant little ePaper info screen
Our API: api.vedur.is/weather/

Happy World Meteorological Day 🌍 to everyone #WorldMetDay
The science of weather observation and forecast is essential for food security & human wellbeing. Without long-term weather data series we can't understand climate change which we need to develop & build necessary mitigation & adaptation 🧪
Quote from World Meteorological Organization (@WMO):
The last 11 years have been the hottest years ever recorded. Earth’s energy imbalance has reached its highest than at any time in observed history, with heat reaching deeper into the ocean.
This is the Global #StateOfClimate 2025.
