World Book Night is taking place on the 23rd April and all The Reading Agency are asking, is that people participate in a #readinghour from 7pm. For this, we may need to draw on the power of a short story.

But what short stories are best for an hour on the sofa with a good book? Personally, I'd go for either Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle or Close Range: Wyoming Stories by Annie Proulx. The floor is now open for ideas 🤔

Today is #WorldBookNight. Share a photo of what you’re reading (everything counts - it’s all reading!) and let’s share the love.

I’m reading ‘the Big Bang Theory: The definitive, inside story of the epic hit series’ by Jessica Radloff.

We hope you've enjoyed #ReadingHour for #WorldBookNight as much as we have. Our final staff read is from Library Supervisor, Jennie, who read Everyone on this Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson to take part.
Happy #WorldBookNight! This is what I’ve been reading in #ReadingHour and… I’ve just finished it! Fantastic read. Really enjoyed it!
Not long now until #ReadingHour is up, but that doesn't mean you need to stop. It's #WorldBookNight all night. Our Library Assistant, Kathryn, has been reading Perfect by Rachel Joyce to take part.
We've reached half-way with #ReadingHour. What are you reading on #WorldBookNight? Our Library Assistant, Susanna, is reading The Trees by Percival Everett to take part.
We hope you're enjoying #ReadingHour so far for #WorldBookNight. Our E-Services Librarian, Chris, is reading Read Gone Kid by Kate Fridriks to take part.
