Today is World Backup Day! 💾

I do my backup using Python. 🐍

Specifically, I've been using the Duplicity library to do my daily backup for years and it works very well 📦

Lately, I use Déjà Dup as the UI of Duplicity in Gnome, but you can use it with another UI. 👣

Remember:

- #RAID on your #NAS is not a #backup
- #Offsite #encrypted backups for really important stuff
- Multiple storage mediums

I backup super important #documents and #photos automatically every day to an offsite backup and they’re encrypted before transport, as well as to a separate drive and writeable #BluRay discs for storage at home (but less frequently)
