Now to figure out what to do with the rest of this weaving wool from my inherited stash… like the blue and brown, I’ve just finished, it’s not for garments but rather upholstery. It will probably be more cushion covers but in a different pattern this time …maybe some kind of randomised check/tartan.. 🧐

1.6 m x 55 cm off the loom with only a little bit off surplus yarn left on the shuttles (maybe for som band weaving). Took only two nights to weave 💪.
Sturdy pure wool fabric destined for cushion covers …maybe for sale, maybe just for us.
But first I need to soak the fabric (after I’ve gotten the cat off of it 😂)

Going through old photos, I came across this shawl that doesn’t get enough time in my regular wardrobe. This is “Water” by Sylvia McFadden. It was my first time playing with short rows in a shawl and I loved it!

The MC yarn is “Bramble” by HHF on their skinny singles base. The short row/CC is “York” by FDF n their Foxy Lady base. Both are luxuriously soft and squishy, perfect for around the neck and next to skin.

Gardeners, where are you?!
I have a special note in my planner that I get to timeline my seed starting this weekend. To be honest, the winter hasn’t been awful, and I’ve been enjoying the snow enough that I’m not craving the greenery….yet.

But the seeds are waiting patiently. The ground will, eventually, be warming. Our perennials are readying themselves.

And I suppose, right now, I’m readying myself as well.

The shawl I’m wearing is the #reynashawl . The cardigan was found in the bargain bin of a thrift store. The hat, always offering wisdom, reads “Don’t Pet The Bison”.
