When I went to see #MichaelRosen at a #PoetryReading in #Woodgreen (who was very good), one poet recited a poem about mobile phone used where she talked about meeting a friend and telling them in the poem to "Put it down."

And it didn't come across to me like wisdom concern our lacking social connection via the overuse of our phones, it come across like someone bitter because they weren't receiving enough attention.

Wood Green. The alien vessel moored at the end of this suburban street is Wood Green Crown Court. The original Victorian Gothic revival facade remains, but this view shows the late 20th century element. I haven't been able to find the name of the architects for the most recent phase, but it is safe to say that they were fans of Judge Dredd. This building is designed to inspire fear in wrongdoers and rightdoers alike. #megacityone #london #woodgreen #crowncourt
