It just gets weirder the longer you read.
The leader of a sex-focused women’s wellness company that promoted “orgasmic meditation” has been sentenced to 9 years in prison on federal forced labor charges. The Brooklyn judge on Monday also ordered Nicole Daedone, co-founder of OneTaste Inc., to forfeit $12 million. Prosecutors had sought a 20-year sentence for Daedone, whose lawyers pushed for a term of about two years. Rachel Cherwitz, the California company’s former sales director, is also set to be sentenced Monday. Prosecutors argued that the two groomed adherents to do their bidding for years, but Daedone’s lawyer cast her as a “ceiling-shattering feminist entrepreneur."
Anti LGBTQIA views are a direct threat to all women's rights.
"But then the tenor of the online harassment changed. A prominent TikTok influencer began to make videos about Lella, saying she was gay – and screenshotting photos indicating that she followed queer accounts. In Ethiopia, where homosexuality is illegal, members of the LGBTQIA+ community have been attacked in public after being outed; some have been beaten and killed. Being called homosexual comes with the threat of a prison sentence."
