Most people are not bothered by someone using more inclusive language, it's when someone tries to correct others for using language they consider less inclusive that many otherwise very reasonable people get annoyed. It feels insulting.
In close relationships when the time is right, these conversations should still happen. And think what you want of people based on their word usage. But otherwise, our lexicon needs to change organically. It always does. #wokeism

One would think #racists would be a LITTLE more circumspect before accusing a major news outlet of "racism".
They live in a world where they see "The #Woke Agenda" being imposed upon them everywhere. ("The woman in the foreground looks Middle Eastern, ergo, she must BE Middle Eastern.")
The (obvious) question of WHY would the BBC show footage of Muslim women in a story about the Pope?" never even enters their mind. They are just SO threatened by #Wokeism that they see it everywhere.
the ideology thing and enforcement in woke circles can be culty, but it lacks the figurehead. I mean even Bernie got derailed as being not woke enough for going on Rogan and having Bernie Bros. (he called open borders a Koch brothers conspiracy for cheap labor) since then, he seems to have fallen in line.
I just did another post arguing for #AltRight instead of #MAGA. I think that's much more similar to #wokeism.
