Steve goes temporarily insane!

For me, Nick McIlwain leaving is just as profound a loss as Kathy leaving. Most family units, blood or otherwise, can't stay together for 5 years, let alone 21 years. They are family and it always hurts when it starts to break off. But when the hurt clears, all of those memories live on.
Thanks for always being so kind, Nick! Best wishes and love to you and yours. ❤ #WMMR #PrestonAndSteve

Pierre Robert, Philadelphia’s Voice of Rock Radio, Dead at 70

Pierre Robert, the voice of Philadelphia rock radio for decades, has died at age 70.

Rolling Stone

It saddens me that I haven't seen one memorial post about Philadelphia's premiere rock DJ, Pierre Robert being gay.

Robert's death is sad. He was an icon in Philly and beyond. But let us not forget that representation matters. There are LGBTQ kids who don't fit the gay stereotype. They need role models too. Pierre definitely fit that bill.

Rest in peace, Mr Robert. MMR will not be the same without you.

Pierre Robert Dies: Legendary DJ At WMMR Philadelphia Was 70

Legendary Philadelphia rock DJ Pierre Robert was found dead yesterday in his home. No foul play is suspected.

Deadline

I always kinda felt like Pierre Robert was a cool uncle who had good taste in music and just wanted to share it with everyone else. I drifted in and out of listernership with WMMR over the years, but he was always a constant, and it's really weird to say goodbye to him.
