What are good Open Source Slack or Discord alternatives?

And what are the features you see as mandatory for a team communication platform?

Here I have to confess that I myself never got the hang of Slack. I always felt overwhelmed. So I feel completely unqualified for judging alternatives 🤪

I'm looking for recommendations/help/ideas!

I would like to connect to #Azure windows VM from my Linux machine. Access is secured the 2FA using an authenticator app.

On Mac it works with Microsoft RDP (now the Windows App 🥴 )

On #Linux I'm still out of luck. The usual RDP apps don't support the 2FA method (at least that is my assumtion). The freerdp3 nightly builds fails with some kind of Kerberos error.

So two questions. Is there a Linux RDP client which works in that setting (Azur + 2FA)?

Secondary question: I currently use the webclient which works reasonable well with Firefox. But the fullscreen mode is annoying as to browser bar pops up regularly.

I had some success with starting Firefox in Kiosk mode with
firefox --kiosk --new-window "https://..."

But than all tabs opened afterwards are in kiosk mode 😕

Any hint regarding a better solution are very welcome
