Hello fellow hams - what are your favourite YSF rooms to stay on, lurk and listen? It could be fun to have a common room for fedi fellows :D 
lore: i bought Yaesu FT5D for aprs functionality, but recently grown up to not hate on internet-based HAMing on that particular matter and bought a mmdvm hotspot - now i want to get some inspiration 
Last week I sold a couple of used laptops I had sitting around to finance my repeater project. So that is pretty cool. Turning junk into cool stuff.
That said, after tinkering with this repeater I learned because it has the optional ethernet linking board I cannot use my Wires X interface box. Come on Yaesu, what were you thinking.
Looking for ideas.
Can I “disable” the optional ethernet linking board?

On the ONE hand, I was glad that Chris came on for the Monday eve #MinWis #WiresX net, though none was scheduled, so that if someone showed up expecting the net, a voice would be there. He mentioned the #OlivaWinterQsoParty ...which has had me tuning around, copying stations, even having a few QSOs on a mode I'd not used before, AFAICR.
On the other hand, give some old farts a chance to type a message, & they have to whine about FT8.

A new week begins and there is definitely an autumnal feel in the air on North West Fusion Group. Time to dust off those Fusion radios ready for the colder days ahead.
As always The Squirrel Net will be here every morning at 7am to gently start the day.
The rest of the week brings our three regular weekly nets so plenty going on.
Our repeaters and gateways are totally free to use.

I was able to fix the stuck tx issue by setting the MMDVM to simplex. Next, I found my old settings from pi-Star and used that to set the Rx/txdcoffset.
Finally, stuff started to work. I set up #YSF and #ysf2dmr, and both the #wiresx control and ysf2dmr bridging seem to work correctly, right from my HT.
The #wpsd interface seems like a nice upgrade from the old pi-Star dash, and I like having more up-to-date components (and #M17project )
