Winter light in the forest.

What pulled me in here was the way the mossy branches started glowing against the darker background. The small patches of snow made the whole scene feel calm and seasonal.

Ever since I saw a floating neon skeleton by Tavares Strachan in Venice in 2019, I've been a fan. I was happy to see his work You Belong Here (2024) in Winter Light of Southbank Centre in London last year, even if this artwork was a tad more traditional, following the long path of words in neon(like materials). The message, however, wasn't as laconic as it tends to be in this genre, but simple, sincere and warm.
