The Oneplus 11 gives me a look into what phone technology was rocking when it comes to camera tech two years ago. It's quite nice, and serviceable. I'm glad I finally have something that's decent enough for party or shots in the moment that fits in my pocket.

My Oneplus 7 Pro had an "ok" camera, but the issue was always the software and LineageOS can be a bit of a gamble when it comes to such things. Either the support is great and it works well, or half-baked and it just... works, but the sensor is a noisy mess. This can be kinda mitigated with Google cam, but that's always a fight looking for version after version, and digging through forums for android packages by maintainers who quit years ago. It ain't worth it.

That seems to be the case for the OP11's selfie cam, but not the back *cough* Hassleblad camera array, of which, all of the lenses and focal lengths seem to work, per LineageOS which even shoots RAW? This is a thing? Neat.

The thing is, I was looking for a decent micro 4/3 camera for taking shots while out walking if I am rocking film that day, don't feel like carrying the R8 AND film, but still want to be able to take digital shots while I'm out, ta-da, OP11 takes the stage.

Yes, I have went out with film and the R8 and it's a mess, it's too much stuff, and it limits my hiking, which is half of the entire point.

I'm going out tomorrow, to a trail in Kernersville, and maybe one in Germanton. It's cold as hell today, and I'm procrastinating from a hell week at work, but it'll be in the mid 40's tomorrow, and sunny... so, 27-33F today everywhere with overcast and the risk of freezing rain, or sunny? Ehhh, sunny.

I also got cards to hand out to people if I take their picture and they ask "Where can I see this?". Well, we can finally answer that question. They all come with a QR code that links here, but also have contact information for getting full-size versions of the photos from me directly. How nifty! While I'm not a professional photographer, they do solve a little problem I've had of not just being able to give them an Instagram name. I keep it #fedi, y'all.

Here's a kid from the park I went to popping a wheelie.
Muddy Creek Greenway, just off of Robinhood road. A lot of bicycles.
I wish our sky would make up its mind for a while. We had extreme cold with zero clouds for two weeks, and now it's overcast all the time. All of these were with the 50mm F1.8 at varying levels of Aperture depending on what I was shooting. I think I did the creek at F16 and the kid at F1.8 and F2 for the first and second. The flower is as low as it'd go. It is the only lens I have for the R8 right now aside from the cursed 90's lens, which is going on an S2000 in a week with some Kodak 400(tee-hee).

Today was a trip to Kernersville Lake Park.
And once again... I trusted the damn autofocus too many times.
These shots were taken with autofocus entirely trust-free, ala... manual focus.
I swapped between my 50mm F.18 and my 24mm F2.8. Preferred the 50 most of the time here.

Overall? KLP doesn't offer too many differing views to take a photo of. It's a U-shape around a small piece of the lake. Barring a zoom lens, there isn't much else here to get, but with as many rental boats as there are, it would be good to return in the late-spring to see it full of action and people.

I went to Salem Lake and took a few shots. I need to quit min-maxxing my Camera lol.
So, my problem here... if it ain't obvious, is ISO.
I was bound and damned determined that I'd use an aperture above 10 so I could get good focus shots.
Like, I figured I had enough light for these. I didn't see a lot of noise on the sensor, but man does it show up on some of the photos I had to pass on, and it sucks because I had more ducks, just... grainy ducks. I will salvage some of those photos because I really do like them, but I'll post these four first.

You know, guys. There's a reason landscape photographers use tripods... and gradient filters, and take long exposures of things, despite the fact that they aren't moving to begin with,.... to avoid ISO grain. I KNEW THAT, I see them do it... but, here I am surprised I have to deal with the very thing they do that to avoid.
