@greppy I love #zigbee devices. I didn't go all #homeassistant with it, opting for #hubitat at the time (mostly because #winkhub was doing one of its implosions), but if I started today, that's what I'd do, probably.

Reading /r/zwave makes me question using that protocol if I can avoid it, but I'm probably only seeing the bad parts.

Best upgrade recently were motion sensors for the basement and home offices to turn/keep on the lights.

@greppy I went for a bit of a hybrid approach after one of the first times #winkhub imploded, which was cloud-centric. All my #homeautomation is primarily handled by a #hubitat Elevation (the older C-5), with most interior lights handled by a #philipshue hub, mostly because it predated most of my current hardware, that talks to the HE.

The #hue lights are a mix of A19 ("normal" E-26/E-27 bulbs) and BR30 ("recessed") lights. Exterior bulbs are all #sengled #zigbee lights.
