Running Arturia plugins in Bitwig on Linux through Yabridge (at least on CachyOS) is doable, but needs some patience.
Here's how:
1) Install the plugins using the stable ordinary Wine version
2) Install the CachyOS Wine-version: wine-cachyos
3) Restart the computer (perhaps)
4) Run yabridgectl sync --force
5) Start Bitwig, and wait for it to index all plugins
6) Go to Settings > Plug-ins > and choose "Individually" as Plug-in Hosting Mode.
7) ...
I installed the new Wine 10.20, to see of it would solve some of the issues with Yabridge.
Nothing seem to have changed: it still works, but only if you move the plugin window to the upper left corner of the screen, and keep your mouse some distance above the controls.
It’s back to Wine-CachyOS, which have solved the problems the regular wine-version have.
It did give me the opportunity to install Arturia plugins, so I’ll need to test them later.
Side note:
Found a post that iK Multimedia doesn't support Linux because too few people use Linux for audio production. Well duh, if there is no plugin support one can't use it.
And i heard statements like this around the industry. I get the problems of porting but the excuse is so lame. Well just make it workable in wine then, will ya?!?
