Damage tally from December windstorm reaches $4.6 million
Estimates of public infrastructure damage from a historic windstorm last month in western South Dakota now total $4.6 million, according to Gov. Rhoden.
The damage tally is from Custer, Fall River and Pennington counties.

I am sooooooo glad I lugged my ginormous bag of #garbage out to the once-again overfull collective bin yesterday.
On a #JellyfishDay like today, my body has only a tenuous relationship with #gravity.
My only hope in today's severe #winds is that whilst sliding the bag over the #ice-packed snow, its weight would be suffucient to anchor me to the ground until I could be blown into a nice firm fence or provide ballast to get me to a rooftop satellite dish or something.

I wasn't fast enough to get it on camera but someone's inflatable snowman flew over our backyard & was heading over our next door neighbour's yard.
Emergency sirens are going off & have been steady for over 20 minutes. It's fire & ambulance & police sirens - all 3, at once. Something must have happened, fairly close to our home.
