Any #showers and #thunderstorms will pass through the #Northland Thursday night, leaving behind some #clouds and patchy #fog with calm #winds and low #temperatures in the 50s and low 60s.
Friday will see more #sunshine and light winds with highs back in the 70s and 80s. It will be slightly cooler next to #LakeSuperior.

NORTHLAND FORECAST FOR OCTOBER 1, 2025:
A new high-pressure system will keep the #Northland #dry Tuesday night, but skies remain mostly #cloudy with #winds slowly calming down. Low #temperatures will be in the 50s.
Clouds will decrease throughout Wednesday as winds shift more to the south. That will help #warm most highs to the 70s, with 60s continuing next to #LakeSuperior.

#Clear skies will continue across the #Northland Thursday night, along with very light #winds. Low #temperatures will be closer to seasonal in the 40s and low 50s.
#Sunny skies persist Friday, but a shift in #wind direction to the northeast and east will #cool highs to the 60s along and near #LakeSuperior, with low 70s further inland.

With this latest wind warning in Canterbury I have been thinking that we need a really good name for these nor'westers. After all there is the Santa Ana in California and the Sirocco in Europe.
