I just now wanted to print a two-page flyer from libreoffice in win11. I chose 7 copies.
After the first page was printed successfully, I shut down the laptop, grabbed a fresh Coffee and went to the printer in the basement.

TIL the number of copies seems to not be transmitted to the printer, but apparently libreoffice seems to send each copy one after the other.
The printer got stuck after 3 pages, waiting for more data. That never came, of course.

Rinse, rise, repeat.

Brauche Tipps für Umstieg auf #Linux

Aufgabe: Notebook m. #Windows 11 Pro 23H2 auf SSD umstellen, indem eingebaute #Win11-SSD durch größere ersetzt wird. Adapter, um SSD via USB-Port anzuschließen, ist vorhanden.

Spiele ich zuerst Linux auf die leere SSD & baue sie dann ein?
Oder erst die leere SSD einbauen & Linux installieren?

Linux-Installationspaket auf Win-SSD oder vom USB-Stick booten?
Gibt's ein gutes Tutorial?

My first exposure to a computer was #XP. Kept using it until the 6th grade.

Skipped #Vista since my PC couldn't handle it.

Got my first laptop in 7th grade, #Win7. Loved it.

When #Win8 came out, I started to see the OS I loved turn to shit. 8.1 was only a mild improvement.

10th grade, dualbooted #Win10 with #Ubuntu until Year-4 of Uni.

When #Win11 came out and I decided to fully commit to #Linux.

Tho I'm happy I jumped ship early on before this crap, can't help but mourn my childhood #OS.
