"Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" is a song written by songwriter #FredRose. First recorded by #EltonBritt in early 1947, then made more popular by #RoyAcuff later that year, the song has been covered by many artists, including #HankWilliamsSr, #JohnnyRussell, #CharleyPride, and #ElvisPresley. Most notably, the song was recorded by #WillieNelson as part of his 1975 album #RedHeadedStranger. Both the song and album revived Nelson's success as a singer and recording artist.
