This Is My GlasgowThe Robroyston Wallace Monument in the north east of Glasgow. Erected in 1900, it purportedly marks the location of the house where William Wallace, hero of the Battle of Stirling Bridge and Guardian of Scotland, was betrayed and captured 720 years ago on the 5th of August 1305. He was then transported to England, where he was hung, drawn and quartered on the 23rd of August.

Wallace's Well in Robroyston in the northeast of Glasgow. It's named after William Wallace who is said to have drunk from it shortly before he was betrayed and captured by English soldiers in 1305. From here, he was taken to Dumbarton Castle, and then to London by ship where he was hung drawn and quartered.
