Dieser Bogart der nie wirklich „nett“ war. Aber immer korrekt, respekteinflößend, manchmal bedrohlich, manchmal mysteriös. Da war dieser Film ein echter Schock für mein cineastisches Nervensystem. Einer, der sich – und das ist das heimtückisch Gemeine daran – mit jedem Wiedersehen mehr als großes Vergnügen entblößt. Dieser Bogart ist einfach eine gigantische Fehlbesetzung. Und gleichzeitig der einzige Grund, warum er noch funktioniert. (ARTE, Wh.)
