In good wildlife news, we saw a hedgehog in our garden last night. A good size as well, so won't need rescuing to make it through the winter. Mental note to fill water bowls in garden as still very dry here in the east of England. #wildlifeuk #wildlifegarden

Not a great photo, but... We put up our first swift box 2 years ago. A local organisation put up more boxes this spring. Today, fledgling swifts on a wire near my house. #wildlife #swiftboxes #wildlifeUK #RSPB

I made a beetle friend but I am struggling to identify them. On all the UK beetles that I look up the antennae don’t seem right. Anyone help?

Politics aside for a bit, here's a pond slider who lives in our local pond.

I initially thought it was a yellow-bellied slider, but on closer look I'm wondering if it's a yellow-bellied x red-eared hybrid. Does anyone know?
