Tried something to prevent the magpies from demolishing the bog area, they use the mud for their nests, so I put down some pebbles and made a plate of mud for them, looks like it's going to work, first magpie arrived and is gathering mud from the plate.

KimberleyIn other news: we have a pond (cat approved)
The natural pond unfortunately didnāt work out. We managed to slow the water loss but not by much, it was still draining after a week. In the end we went with a liner. Now to make it look more like a nice wildlife area and less like a big plastic sheet.
