Got fed up with #wigle's web interface and started loading my #wardriving records into #qgis instead.
Overly complicated and massively overkill?
Yes... but it is working.
@CerstinMahlow I've been using #wigle on mobile for several years now. It just seems that #NearbyGlasses is just a highly focused (BT/BLE MACs) version of that.
My nagging thought is "What's stopping those Meta Ray-bans from hoovering up the nearby Wifi/BT/BLE MACs as well?".
THAT is the real surveillance here and I don't put it past Meta to do this.

Today I walked 6.13 miles, made exactly 500 OpenStreetMap edits, & recorded 9,034 new (to me) Wi-Fi networks in WiGLE.
Chasing Your Tail, a cool, open source tool to help track your trackers.
Ironic that it uses a Raspberry Pi given that the corporation has moved to work closely with law enforcement, but then the creator was a Fed for 22 years 🤷🏿♂️

In July the Radio Frequency Hackers Sanctuary and the team at WiGLE.net support an all out timesd event for WarDriving.
It’s just bragging rights for the scoreboard mostly - however a factored number of your WarDrive points do count for the inperson DEFCON Wireless Village Capture The Flag event during the DEFCON gathering.
This year I won, a lot like the first year I ever attempted it and I wrote it up completely so that you can understand how to post a lot of points on the scoreboard or maybe even win.

@hellomiakoda that sounds more annoying that @WiGLEnet #WiGLE's app on full #TTS mode...
