Openly sharing your work brings more attention to it, which is good, right? The answer, for me though, is often “it’s complicated.” This is what happened when I went to visit a giant tech company, in hopes for collaboration, but later found that they tried to patent some of my research instead!

Craft of Use Event
This publication summarises the Craft of Use event at London College of Fashion which passed by in a whirlwind of performance theatre, presentations, interactive workshops, sound installation, discussion and poetry by the remarkable Sabrina Mahfouz. The event marked the latest phase of research of the Local Wisdom project, led by Professor Kate Fletcher from the Centre for Sustainable Fashion and generously funded by The Leverhulme Trust, with contributions from the network of seven international partners and invited speakers on the day.
