2014 began as a very bad year. The author's world turned topsy-turvy with early retirement from work due to stress-related health problems & the death of her sixteen-year-old cat. Read how to small cats helped her recovery and write again

@Dimduning had me rifling through old pics so I could remember hold Ella Mae is and found this one. This was just a few days after we adopted her from the rescue place where she was born two years ago.
Maybe this is why she tries to sit on my belly. She still thinks she’s a puppy. Look at dat fayyyce!
This seems pretty appropriate for #Mondog Monday.
My wife sent me these pics of Ella Mae (white dog on left) and Sylvie.
The photo is of them staring out one of our living room windows up at the roof of our neighbor's house.
Why???
(see my reply for the answer)
We had a doggy dna test done a while back on my puppy dog, Sylvie and the results were pretty surprising, especially because I didn’t expect to see that she has something like 65% pitbull in her.
Recently I found out a hashtag that is often used for them is #pibbles. You know like if you said pitbulls really fast.
Anyway, periodically… just every so often, she’ll leave what we have taken to calling “pebbles” in her bed at some time during the night. Yeah… you’re probably right about what you think they are. I know… gross. But they’re hard little pebbles so at least not messy.
Anyway!… I regret not naming her Pebble now because a while back I found a comic named… are you ready?…
“Pebble and Wren” and I JUST found out the person who draws it, @Chrishallbeck is a mastodonian.
Hi Chris!
Dog pile on a Sunday afternoon.
Bonus #Caturday content. A year ago Bowie, the Chonkulous™, was living on the streets never knowing where her next meal would come from. Now she has a #Foreverhome.
Happy Caturday friends. Fizbit, who was rescued from a Hardees drive-through 2 years ago is enjoying the day with both #Cattitude and #Paw-work.
