Ein Film in Schwarzweiß, über alte Leute, die kaputte Provinz und eine Scam-Lotterie. Würden Sie sich so etwas freiwillig ansehen wollen? Ich habe einen Hang dazu. Mir ist ein Film wie dieser eigentlich das Gegengift zum Rest des Fernsehprogramms. Hier geht es nicht um das große Glück, sondern nur um diese ganz spezielle Art von Traurigkeit: Menschen – hauptsächlich Männer – die eigentlich nie gelernt haben, über Gefühle zu reden. I just looked at a profile on #UpScroll and it was unsettling. They had a list of #identitymarkers resembling a roller-coaster ride. Being a #lefty and a #patriot doesn't compute. But what I found worse, was the use of the term #whitetrash. Eventhough they used it in a self-deprecating sense, the term itself is very problematic. Besides the #classicism, it divides yts into trash and not-trash, while hiding the fact that the non-trash are the ones creating trash (literally and figuratively). /1
