Västäräkin lentokuvioita – Flight patterns of the white wagtail
Nopeasti lentävien lintujen kuvaaminen on kuin zen-harjoitus: keskityt vain siihen hetkeen, seuraat linnun liikeratoja, juuri sen yksilön tapaa reagoida muihin lintuihin ja saaliiseensa, ympäristön valoon ja tuuleen, sekä kameran nopeaan säätöön (tarkennuspisteet, yli- tai alivalotus, etc.). Aika kuuluu siivillä, muistikortti täyttyy hutikuvista, mutta nautit lintujen maailmasta ja opit paljon. Ja välillä laitat kuvia muiden nähtäväksi, että hekin katsoisivat ympärilleen ja pysähtyisivät ihmettelemään. :-)

Photographing fast-flying birds is like a zen exercise: you focus only on the moment, following the bird's movements, the way that particular individual reacts to other birds and its prey, the light and wind in the environment, and the quick adjustments of the camera (focus points, over- or underexposure, etc.). Time flies by, memory card is filled with crappy photos, but you enjoy the world of birds and learn a lot. And sometimes you post pictures for others to see, so that they would also look around and stop to wonder. :-)
