IsisSpacecat Spiff has lost some weight, so we went to the vet for some tests. The verdict is that for a cat who will turn 18 in July, he is in very good shape. However, his pancreas is a bit irritated and his thyroid levels, while still normal, are on the high end. The first will probably be helped by a change of diet (luckily he loves the new food ). We will retest his thyroid in 6 weeks time, and if the levels are rising , there is a treatment for that too. We feel relieved, Spiff feels mightily offended and is denying us laptime.
