DoublythumbsWe had another big turnout for the national protest this last Saturday! The wind was crazy but the rain held off until we were done. We had about the same amount of people was last time, close to 300. Not bad for a deep red state. There were so many honks of approval from drivers.

We went to the local protest in Elm Grove, WV on Saturday 4/19! Surprised yet happy at how many showed up since it was a holiday weekend. I think it was a pretty good turnout considering. Again, more positive honking, thumbs ups, waving than the dumpers calling us fascists or giving us middle fingers.

Another thing I need to mention about yesterday's protest in Wheeling, WV. At one point, a funeral procession rolled through with about a dozen cars. Everybody went completely silent. The bullhorns and the chanting stopped. Signs were lowered. Ball caps were removed. We shared a moment of silence, all without a single order to do so. It was a beautiful moment seeing so much dignity and respect coming from a group of people.
