Carolina @ Colorado 10-23 9Pm

This could be a game from the 1980s as the Hurricanes will play in the Whalers jerseys and the Avalanche will play in the Nordiques jerseys. The Canes will be looking to bounce back from their loss to the Golden Knights.

Whalers - Nordiques Game (Car @ Col)

30 years ago, the Quebec Nordiques became the Colorado Avalanche. For this anniversary, Colorado will play 7 games wearing the original Nordiques jersey this year. The first game will be this Thursday at 9:30PM eastern where they will host the Carolina Hurricanes, wearing for their part their Whalers jersey. So much nostalgia.

Green In Canes Uniform

Figuratively, this is the first time K'Andre Miller wears a regular jersey (he's been wearing a non contact since the beginning of the camp). And literally green, because, why not, they are partly wearing Hartford Whalers colors today (gloves, pants).

WHEW. 👀 Rep. Joe Neguse (D-CO) calls out Sen. Lisa Murkowski for caving after Republicans added A TAX BREAK FOR WHALERS into Trump’s bill. There are about 160 people in Alaska will be able to take advantage of this tax deduction. Ranking member Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) responds: “Is that all it took? I mean, boy, she’s a cheap date if that’s all it took.” 🥴

WHALING IN COOK STRAIT
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
BLENHEIM, This Day.
The Te Awaite #whalers have had a wonderful season so far. Yesterday two right whales were captured. One measured 70ft [21 m] in length, and at the thickest part 12 to 13ft [3.6 to 4 m] through. The #Perano party has already taken 44 whales this season.
