If I had to guess, then I would speculate that #WestPoint equivalents in #StarshipTroopers would be for promising young MI officers who have already dealt with OCS and their “trial by fire” as 3rd Lieutenants and that the MI are prepared to spend several years investing in a college/university level education for.

I don’t think it would be a direct entry thing.
