Just got back from the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, MI. It's one of our favorite festivals and we've been to all of them (it has been going in it's current state since 2011, with a break around the COVID epidemic). We got to see some great bands, spend time with friends, eat good (but way overpriced) food and see some awesome art. Some people in Rothbury get a bit upset over the festival, as it's a very small town and the fest is quite disruptive to their community.. but I know that the festival brings a ton of revenue to the community that is very badly needed for infrastructure improvements.

Despite the kind of rainy weather, tiny man had an awesome time at the Asparagus festival with us and his grandparents. I love these small town festivals as they tend to have great character and are super accessible. Appearances were made by the previous Asparagus queens, Hart Pirate and Shelby Tiger marching bands, the Scottville Clown Band and the lad's favorite, lots of emergency vehicles.
