On Saturday we ended up in far northern Missouri so we decided to swing by US Fish and Wildlife’s Loess Bluffs refuge.

Despite being bitterly cold, and all of the pools frozen over, there were still a few Bald Eagles looking for musk rats.

And I saw my first IRL Western Meadowlarks. They were so much bigger than I expected. And so many of them 😳

Didn’t have my cam, but some weren’t shy.. iPhone shot.

Decided to avoid social media today and so went to look for birds. Here are a few that I saw this morning.
