Capitalism is out of control. The legacy of colonialism is environmental destruction in the pursuit of wealth. Many people on here have stated that Maui wildfires are the fault of invasive grasses that have dried out and made conditions perfect for fire. That's correct. It's also because the diversion of water for growing crops. Read this substack on Lahaina.

Still, all of these people gain #power and use it only to suppress us, our voice. None of them has done anything to control industries who extract Earth's #oil to be turned into our #heating blanket of CO2. Sure there are differences. But only enough difference to keep us fighting, and consuming, and ignoring the biggest problem we have ever faced. None of these people are our heroes. Not one of them. Yet.
