@johnquiggin having read some of Hastie's stuff I don't think any crueling is necessary. Unless he decides to lie like a bastard and present himself as a moderate. Which I don't believe he could do, or the party would tolerate.
My expectation is that #WellDoneAngus will come up with his own special problematic takes on a few issues, then Hastie will "rescue" the party for the true believers, uniting the christofascist wing with the racist wing to the delight of all.
