3. Talk to the locals: As the slogan says, People Make Glasgow, and Glaswegians are generally a friendly bunch. If you're lost, they'll happily give you directions. If you want to know more about something, they'll happily tell you. Of course, it might not be completely accurate (or even remotely correct!), but Glaswegians never let a little thing like the truth get in the way of telling a good story!

With the universities starting up again for another academic year, here's three bits of advice for those who are new to Glasgow:

1. Always look up: Glasgow has some amazing architecture, but you have to look up to really appreciate it.

2. Avoid getting stuck in a university bubble: Glasgow is an amazing city, but you have explore it to truly appreciate it, so make sure you get out and see as much of it as possible.
