When bassist E. Scott Warren’s father passed away, Scott asked that we record this tune as a memorial. It’s a piece by #JoshHaden. We adopted the arrangement recorded by #PatMetheny and #CharlieHaden. I’m playing my #weissenborn and various guitars. I played the keys part with a #Suhr #strat tuned in the African #MiCompose style. Scott is a grad of North Texas jazz program and has been a go-to session player for decades.

I’m so sad about the passing of #DavidLindley. He apparently had been in rough shape for some time, so it’s a relief to know he’s no longer suffering.

He was one of my most important musical heroes. For many years I performed this piece as a tribute to him. It’s a #Weissenborn style #steelguitar with Mr. Dave’s favorite #Sunrise pickup.
