What remains of a broken plate ---
Today on the floor next to the window at our local cafe I found a shard of a broken plate. It's only about a centimeter long. I photographed it and then put the shard in my pocket. I have painted that plate in past watercolours. I have a small collection of shards from broken plates and bowls ... mostly of ones that have broken at home. This one is my first from an accident I didn't witness.
