strong homer vibes...
the transfer/copy is happening!
it will *definitely* take awhile.
but good news! all systems are back up and running! let me know if you see anything wrong, but it should all be good :)

@trib And for anyone interested Ecowitt gear works well with weewx, popular open source weather station software (https://weewx.com).
One tip: Buy the GW3000 gateway.
they weren't kidding when they said “awhile”.
7 hours later and it's only up to March 29, 2009 lol
thankfully it's not hurting anything by taking a bit so… it can just go until it's done….

once it is done slogging through these archives one more time, then I'm going to try to initiate a copy of the archive database from the local SQLi database to an external mySQL database to enable some web-based tools that I've had in the past but have long since gone defunct.
2,102,339 records to be exact!
It has been a bit of a slog, but things are starting to return to normal. I've started a bit of overdue housecleaning. It's going through every record in the database since november 2005 and rebuilding the daily summaries so everything is consistent with new and old observations and calculations over the past 20 years!
over 2 million records!
Things have been slightly broken in the background of alberniweather since updating to Debian 13 yesterday.
I’ve currently shut down updates while I reinstall the backend software weewx to try to bring it back up to full functionality.
Data, webcam and other automated services will be disrupted
I'll post again when everything is good.
