Dropped our car at the garage for it's annual check first thing this morning and went for a walk while that was being done.

The sun had just risen and was picking out the trees on top of the hill. Their illuminated branches could be seen from below through the silhouettes of branches that the sun had not yet reached.

I find this overlay of precision chaos, dark over light quite mesmerising.
