Profoundest apologies from the wedding band leader. He’s asked if I’ll come back. I still think he’s a prick. I’m torn. The song list is so delightfully eclectic for a female vocalist though. From ‘Love and affection’ to ‘Fade into you’ to ‘Love shack’. I think I might need to pretend to forgive him… 🫤

One of the fun things I do sometimes is help out in a chum’s wedding band if they need another guitar or female vocals. I was given a list of songs to lock-in for one such do in the next couple of weeks. I know some of them inside out. ‘The first time ever I saw your face’ for example. The band leader said it was by Roberta Flack. No I said. It’s Ewan MacCall. Roberta absolutely made it her own no doubt. But Ewan MacCall wrote it. He was having none of it and got all puffy chested. Until my chum - another man - assured him I was right. Band leader took a huff and it’s unlikely I’ll be doing the wedding. Arsehole!!! 🙄

I've lost some weight recently (intentionally and healthy) and now my wedding band is frequently slipping off. It's tungsten, so resizing isn't an option, and the independent artisan who made it closed up shop a couple years ago.

I'd like to stick with tungsten if possible, though I'm also open to titanium or other low-maintenance metals, and would prefer to support independent artists. I'm located in #Seattle if there's anyone local, but also happy to shop online.
